I can't believe it but I'm sick again. I went to the doctor today and when she left the room for a minute I took this picture. Is winter almost over??

Holiday baking

I love baking these sugar cookies for Valentine's Day! The red hots are my favorite part (delicious!). I made these tonight to bring to work tomorrow. It's become a tradition for me to bring these to work for Valentine's Day every year.

A short break

It feels like spring has come early. Of course it's not actually spring - it's still the middle of winter and the cold is coming back within a couple days. But it's been so nice and rejuvenating to have a short reprieve from the bitter cold. I drove by a marquee today that says, "we have to have winter to appreciate spring."

Foggy morning

The relatively warm weather we have enjoyed the last few days led to a very foggy morning today.

Comfort Food

I baked some cookies tonight and I must say: they're dang good.

Thaw

The snow has been melting and it's the most wonderful sight! I know more is coming but I'm trying to live in this happy moment.

Overdue

I won my friend Jonathan's services in a service auction recently. He changed my brake pads today and trust me when I say it was overdue! It was super warm today (45ish). I had to document that last fact because it probably won't happen again for awhile.

Triple Birithdays!

My mom, grandma, and great aunt all celebrate their birthdays within a few days of each other so we usually have a big party for all of them. This picture was taken during the "happy birthday dear..." part, which is why my grandma and mom are pointing at the others!
