Spring continues to amaze me...

The day after

Remember the blossoms from yesterday? Well, the rain brought a lot of them down this morning. They look kind of pretty, but they were actually quite slippery. Deadly, even.

Janice and I went for a walk tonight at Gallup and it was beautiful there! I can't wait for the trees to get leaves again.

Tonight, while on my way to visit with my grandma, a whole herd (?) of deer ran in front of me on the road. Luckily I was able to brake in time, and since there was no one behind me, I took the opportunity to take my phone out and take a picture. It's not the clearest picture ever so for the first time on Picture A Day, I used "paint" and added both a circle and an arrow. Just in case you couldn't tell there's a deer there before.

And what do may flowers bring? Pilgrams! That was one of my favorite jokes when I was a kid.

Where the green grass grows

Every sign of spring brings me such joy. This grass was just too pretty and summery not to take a picture of today.

Even though I know that spring follows winter, every year it feels like a miracle.

It is the most beautiful day today! I love riding my bike on sunny days.

Tax Day

I rode my bike down to the post office to mail my tax forms. I know - nothing like waiting till the last minute, right? (Oh, and I finally wore my helmet - I checked it for spiders and it was safe.)

My concern over what this spill could be was immediately assuaged by this note, kindly left by Ann who dropped her water bottle on her way in this morning.

AARP

I found this on my desk today (Justin's handiwork)! I asked him, "Is this Dolly Pardon!?" and he said, "How did you know!?" Well, between the hair and the....(ahem...bossoms)...it wasn't hard to figure out. I hope that one day I really am on the cover of AARP magazine. And I wouldn't mind having the same headline "How she turned rags into riches!"

Considering my title for Monday's post was "Snow day in April," it was nice to see flowers outside the local garden supply store this morning.

Overnight we had a snow storm...in April. Very strange. But I'm not really complaining because I got a snow day out of it! I decided to enjoy the last (hopefully) snow of the year by going on a drive in the country.

We got the whole family together (well, all who could make it) to decorated Easter Eggs. Paige went a little crazy with the glitter.

Pow Wow

This woman helped James make a really cool Native American headband at the pow wow today. Here's the final result (in the picture below, he has a bag over his shoulder containing his new bow and arrow - it was a good day to be a ten year old boy!):

Squirrel Attack

This squirrel chased Kathy and me into the building this morning! Luckily we shut the door, but as you can see, it's practically banging on the door trying to get in. The last couple days, it's even been jumping up to the door handle trying to get in! We're starting to get scared...
