I went to the doctor this afternoon and these are the pills I have to take TODAY alone. It makes me wonder how old I'm getting. By the way, I just have bronchitis, don't let the number of pills fool you.

Contrite?

Brian made an awesome discovery today in the church library: a sign language book of religious terms. We thought the drawing of the woman showing the sign for "contrite" didn't really look contrite, and we decided Brian should reenact it. Here's the result. I think his impression is dead on!

Mystery

I don't get this. This morning I saw this Trader Joe's grocery bag full of empty pop bottles at a nearby park. This afternoon it was still there. Why was it left there? As a gift to someone who needs the $1.00 deposit? Was it forgotten? If so, how!? That reminds me of the other day when I saw some pants in a lost and found. Life is full of mysteries.

Once again...

At least once a week I see someone park in front of this fire hydrant by my office and inevitably they get towed away. Clearly the fire hydrant isn't obvious enough! But I've come up with a solution (be warned, I'm still having way too much fun with my phone's lame editing program):

Not curious enough...

Ever wondered what expired V8 tastes like? Someone left a gigantic container of it on our free table at work. Justin, the generous soul he is, left it on my desk as a gift. He did warn me, however, that the expiration date was two years ago. Nasty.

Photo Phun

Ok, I'm sorry. I almost have this out of my system, I promise. I know it's lame and I'm probably the only one who enjoys it, but humor me for just a little bit longer? Please? Ok, here's a picture I took of some street art while on a walk earlier, followed by the alterations I made with my phone's newly found awesome editing feature.

I took this picture today with my phone while I was on a walk. After taking the picture, I started playing around with my phone and saw that it had some fun photo editing features, so I couldn't resist testing them out. Here's the original picture followed by the altered picture. Which is your favorite? Oh wait, one more. The last one is the original picture in an incredibly tacky frame. Does that change your vote? Wait, wait - I lied. There's ONE more. I just saw the awesome feature where I can add clip art to the picture. This one will be your new favorite, I promise. Look for hidden clip art in future pictures as well.

I know. I'm immature.

Room temperature pizza, anyone?

A co-worker sent an e-mail to everyone at work this morning saying that their kid is selling chocolate for a fund raiser and it would be sitting on the counter in the kitchen if anyone was interested.

I guess someone figured that this would be a good opportunity to get rid of their left over pizza as well. If there's one piece missing from this plate later, I'm going to be very curious about who took it.

Segregation

It was interesting to watch people tonight at the mingle - for some reason everyone only sat on one side of the room! Katherine and I broke the mold and moved to the other side. I'm not sure what was causing people to only sit on that one side, but as far as I could tell, there was no gas leak. Although, come to think of it, I did pass out for awhile....hmmm....

Happy birthday Sammy!

Today we celebrated Samantha's first birthday! I took the required baby-eating-cake-and-getting-messy picture.

Ugh.

Looks like March is up to her usual tricks. Warm weather followed by horribly cold weather. At least someone put up cones to warn people that the sidewalk was covered with ice again.

Moving Aunt Shirley Out

My great aunt Shirley recently moved to a permanent living facility for the elderly, so we cleaned out her apartment tonight. Here's Paige holding a picture of Aunt Shirley.

A contrast

On a rainy, dreary day like today, I felt I needed a contrast. I bought these flowers on Saturday and the rose has been getting prettier every day.

Honey

In the neighborhood where I work, there is a local honey seller. I needed some honey for some banana bread I'm making, so I stopped by this morning. The honey is so good, you want to stick your finger in it right away and taste it. I've resisted today....so far...

Yes, I know this is two pictures, but I couldn't choose one.

Mysterious substance

I asked Justin to smell this to determine what it was, but he wouldn't. (Selfish!) Any guesses?

Katherine at the art show at EMU

I love this painting! You should all go check it out at EMU (and if you wanted to buy it, I'm sure Katherine wouldn't object)!

Really!?

Someone was desperate for a parking space today. I really can't imagine leaving my car parked like that all day! I'm not sure if this picture does justice to how far up the right side of this car is!

Frozen playground

I walked by a school playground on a walk this morning and wondered how long it would be until the kids can play on this!? At least it's finally March.
