Snow Circles

Sorry about the quality of this picture - it was really windy and cold and apparently my phone was a bit shaky. But I still think these bizarre circles on the sidewalk look pretty cool!

Every year, the streets are lined with luminaries on the main street in Saline on Christmas Eve.

Christmas

I love my coworkers! Along with some sweet gifts, Ann gave me this card that says "A donation has been made in your name to the human fund," a reference from one of my favorite episodes of Seinfeld (Festivus). And Justin gave me (along with some other thoughtful gifts) some Twilight collectors cards - seriously, these gifts and cards made my day! My coworkers know me too well.

Sleeping Cutie

To keep my niece entertained while I was busy cleaning and folding laundry, I let her lay down in my bed and watch a movie. Later, when I walked into my bedroom and saw her looking so cozy like this, I just had to take a picture. You can tell she was a bit annoyed with me interrupting her movie. Still cute.

Best cookie winner!

The quality of this picture is questionable (I think my camera was on a weird setting) but Erin still looks cute! She was the winner of the Christmas Cookie Taste off!

The cast of Cinderella preparing for the question/answer portion after the play. The play was amazing, by the way!

First Snow

Note how gray the sky is.

Same day, but a more cheerful perspective. I love the colors of this plant.

Secretary of State today

Going to the Secretary of State's office is never pleasant - I had to wait 45 minutes today for my number to be called. But not only that, I saw two very disturbing things while I was there:

1) I saw a lady taking the eye test to renew her license. When asked if she wears her glasses while driving, she said no. She then proceeded to see NOTHING in the eye test and was told to start wearing her glasses while driving. How long has she been driving without her glasses? Terrifying.

2) I saw a kid who looks exactly like Ron Weasley in the FIRST Harry Potter movie applying for his drivers permit.

A blind lady and a child driving on the same roads as me. Some things are better left unknown.

Chocolate and caramel covered pretzels

I made some for the first time tonight and they turned out really well! (If I do say so myself.) My one complaint is that they are way too delicious. I have to give them away before I eat them all!

Sarah's senior picture

I went over to my friend Sarah's tonight and was amused to see her senior picture up in her entertainment center. It made me laugh so much I had to take a quick picture of it with my phone. She said her mom gave it to her recently and she didn't know what to do with it.
