Every spring I anticipate when the Downtown Garden store puts out the flowers. That marks the official beginning of warm weather for me. Today was the day.

Spring Fever

I have spring fever today and it's not hard to see why. I am so over winter!

I'm always fascinated by worn out old buildings like this. I wonder what they looked like when they were first built. I picture people bustling about where there was once a balcony of some sort. And I wonder how it got to this point.

I don't know why but I've always really liked alleys. I mean, I'm no fool - I don't go hanging out in them or anything. They seem like secret passage ways where anything could happen (I try not to think too hard about what "anything" could mean). Anyway, I think they're cool.

March 5th

I felt actual warmth from the sun today - it was so foreign. The snow is becoming more wet and has a cooler look to it. I'd like for it to stay long enough to cover the mud of spring, then take the hint and leave when the flowers are about to pop up. Unfortunately, nature never listens to my suggestions.

Sad day

Remember the snow couple from the other day? I came upon them today to discover that they'd been murdered. Taken in their prime. I guess Robert Frost was right when he said "nothing gold can stay."


Yes, I do realize I'm being over dramatic.

A new perspective

Now that it's March, I can look forward to the future (spring) and be more positive about the snow.
