Skating

I know I've been grumbling nonstop about how much I hate winter, but I saw a winter scene this morning that I actually liked: a family making an ice skating rink in their yard. Right away when I saw it, I got the skating song from the Charlie Brown Christmas movie in my head and I had to smile. I guess winter can be charming and nice at times. (That may be the only time this winter you hear me say that.)

My dad used to make an ice skating rink in our backyard for us. Sadly, we probably didn't use it enough to pay him back for the hard work. But it was pretty cool!

Hope you are starting to feel better!

That is awesome. I've always wanted to do that. Someday!

Is this a picture you found or did you actually see this?

Is this in your neighborhood?

Maybe I should go over to their house and ask to skate on it. I could offer to play their kid in hockey or something.

No, it's on the street where I work.

I bet they'd totally let a stranger play with their kid! ;)
